Dr Bharath Kadadi is a hand, upper limb and microvascular surgeon of international repute. After his post graduate degree in orthopaedics, he did a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at Stanley Medical College, Madras University (Chennai). He then served Observerships at the Stanford Hand Centre and the Christine M Klienert Institute in Louisville, both of which are internationally acclaimed centres for hand surgery.
Dr Kadadi’s experience in extensive, as reflected in him receiving awards for the highest number of successful surgeries in HOSMAT (Bangalore) for three consecutive years (2004, 2005 and 2006). In 2007, he completed a fellowship in Hand and Brachial plexus surgery from the Ogori Daiichi General Hospital in Ogori, Japan. More recently, in 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Robert Acland Fellowship by the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand. The fellowship took him to the Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby (England), where he spent a month training.
Dr Kadadi takes a special interest in upper limb trauma, hand injuries, brachial plexus injuries and all disorders involving the upper limb such as tumours, compressive neuropathies, spastic limbs, rheumatoid arthritis, deformities and post traumatic late sequelae. He has an abiding interest in the academic side of his profession with stints as a teacher at HOSMAT and Kasturba Medical College (Mangalore). This is also reflected in his extensive record of presenting papers across the world. Many of these have also been published in eminent journals and periodicals.
