Carotid Endarterectomy

An endarterectomy is an excellent procedure to relieve carotid stenosis, when the indications are appropriate. Performed along with a vascular surgeon, the recanalisation rates are over 95% with our preference being usage of an intra-operaitve shunt and a saphenous vein patch.
