Brain Metastasis

Brain metastases are tumors that originate in tissues or organs outside the brain and spread secondarily into the brain. They are a fairly common complication of systemic cancer and are also a significant cause of morbidity (rate of disease) and mortality (death) in cancer patients. They happen to be the most common intracranial tumors (tumors inside the skull) and they may be on the rise.
